And with that quote in mind I am looking forward to all the exciting destinations I will arrive at in 2014.

New socks from old wool leftovers

Probably nobody will remember my "New-Year-Resolutions" I posted in January this year. Well I forgot them too until I went through my old posts recently and found out that back then I had the idea to recycle my old wool leftovers. 

Up to now I didn't know that I would be able to knit socks but fortunately there are so many wonderful knitting instructions on youtube so that even somebody like me can manage this.

I used this knitting instruction which is only available in German but I am sure there will be many instructions in English too.

Wahrscheinlich erinnert sich kein Mensch mehr an meine guten Vorsätze, die ich im Januar für das neue Jahr hatte. Ich habe sie übrigens selber vergessen, bis ich neulich mal durch die alten Posts ging und sah, daß ich mir unter anderem ja auch vorgenommen hatte, meine Wollreste zu recyclen. 

Bis jetzt wußte ich auch nicht, daß ich dazu fähig sein könnte, Socken zu stricken, aber erfreulicherweise gibt so viele wundervolle Strickanleitungen auf youtube, daß sogar jemand wie ich tatsächlich lernen kann, Socken zu stricken.

Ich habe diese Strickanleitung benutzt, die allerdings nur in Deutsch zu haben ist. Aber ich bin mir sicher, es gibt solche Anleitungen auch in Englisch.

From a bird's view ...

Everything looks so beautiful and easy from a birdsview, isn't it?
Well, I recently had that in mind when I visited a remarkable concert of Dylan on the Rocks on the top of the Munich Olympic tower while my eyes permanently kept wandering over the city of Munich at night.
Due to the noteworthy view from up there (apologize for the poor quality of the pictures I took with my mobile phone) a lot of things seem to be no longer important and suddenly vanished from sight. - And I must confess that I also lost sight of all these important things I wanted to prepare for christmas or rather finish before christmas.
So I assume I have to prepare for a landing very soon and therefore I need a little blog-break.
I have to see how I can get all these things sorted out waiting on my desk in the office and in my craft room at home.
And then I’ll be back soon.

 

Aus der Vogelperspektive sieht alles immer so schön einfach aus, nicht wahr?
 Jedenfalls dachte ich mir das neulich, als ich ein bemerkenswertes Konzert von Dylan on the Rocks oben auf dem Münchner Olympiaturm besuchte, während mein Blick dabei ununterbrochen über das schöne, nächtliche München schweifte.
Von so weit oben betrachtet, (man entschuldigt hier bitte die nicht ganz so optimale Qualität der Fotos, die ich mit dem Handy gemacht habe), ist ja vieles plötzlich echt total unwichtig und verschwindet wortwörtlich und nahezu vollkommen aus dem Blickfeld. 

 Und ich gestehe, ich habe auch irgendwie den Überblick über all die Dinge, die ich eigentlich im Hinblick auf Weihnachten dringend tun müsste, irgendwie aus den Augen verloren.
Folglich werde ich jetzt wohl mal besser „zur Landung ansetzen“ und dazu eine kleine Blogpause machen.
Und dann muss ich sehen, dass ich meinen vollen Schreibtisch im Büro und meine tausend Weihnachtsvorbereitungen zu Hause wieder in den Griff kriege.

Und danach bin ich sofort wieder hier.
